| Education: | MSc Engineer of agriculture, specialisation: Environmental management Engineer of International Rural Innovation and Development
| Interest in Professional and Scientific Matter: | Wind Power Industry development Application of geographic information systems in the investment process of RES Utilization of innovative and power-saving solutions in architecture Funding opportunities for RES investments
| Major tasks at the Institute: | Monitoring of statistical data sources concerning renewable sources (i.e. preparation of data bases for energy agencies as well as being in contact with with statistical offices from Central-Eastern Europe for EurObserv’er) Contributing to reports and projects run within wind energy team (i.e. prepared chapter about technical as well as logistics-transportation conditionings for offshore wind energy development; additionally economic potential analysis for whole RES sector) Support to organization of the Institute’s seminars and conferences (2nd Biogas Seminar, 3rd Solar Thermal Energy Forum)
| Sample projects coordinated by myself and/or those I participated in: | EurObserv’ER project – European renewable energy barometer SUSPLAN – Development of guidelines for more efficient integration of RES into infrastructures Wind power development in Poland by 2020 – a vision State and provisions for development of green energy market in Poland Status quo of energy issues in relation to duties of energy agency WAZE Economic and social aspects of the offshore wind energy development in Poland Preliminary estimations of use of RES economical potential for electricity generation on a district level by 2020 Methodology of regional energy strategy
| Other interesting things done by myself recently: | Participated in workshop on green jobs skills organized by International Labour Office in Geneva Worked in the Centre for Geo-information at Alterra – Wageningen University in the Netherlands with EC Projects, e.g. SENSOR – Tools for Effects of Multifunctional Land Use in Europe, FARO – Foresight Analysis of Rural areas Of Europe Visited during studies in the Netherlands farms which are using innovative solutions in animal and crop production as well as changed a profile of enterprise with EU funds support Took part in the training concerning financing of innovative solutions in enterprises (e.g. Eco-Innovation within CIP Programme) Studied landscape architecture in Slovakia in frame of Socrates Erasmus Programme Travelled around the Baltic Sea by hitchhiking
| Most interesting comment I have heard at work: | “We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature’s inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.” Thomas Edison in conversation with Henry Ford (1931) |
