Invitations to the International Conference “Biofuels in the European Union after 2010 – perspectives of Central and Eastern Europe’’ 26 October 2007, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 166 NOWOURSYNOWSKA STREET, PALACE OF URSYN NIEMCEWICZ
The aim of this conference is presentation of the REFUEL. Project and its consultancy with the key decision-makers, companies and players of the transport biofuels market in the European Union, especially in the new member countries of the European Union. The conference is also about to help forming of the references for the European Commission, which are to accompany the final results of the REFUEL Project and can be used by the European Union countries to rate the possibilities for realization of the aims concerning biofuels for 2020 within the new European Union frame directive. The conference which finishes the REFUEL project will also be a continuation of the previous consultancy seminary with the participation of the european industry (mainly with EU-15), which was held in Brussels on 6 March 2007 and was used for verification of principles for simulation (BIOTRANS model) of biofuels development tendencies in the European Union until 2030. The peculiar problems discussed during the conference are going to be the issues of accessibility of biomass supplies in the production of biofuels and mutual market interactions between first and second generation biofuels. The conference will be an opportunity to discuss the instruments of biofuels development support in the European Union and the role of biofuels in the realization of European Union aims concerning the renewable energy until 2020, accepted by the Europe’s Council on 9 March 2007. Due to the limit of seats and big interest of the participants the registration will be done regarding the date of applying. The organizers will send back the registration confirmaton. The conference will be held and symultaneously translated in Polish and English languages. Participation in the conference is free of charge. Organizers are trying to obtain the mediumistic patronage from: Rzeczpospolita journal and from Czysta Energia (Clean Energy), Paliwa Plynne (Liquid Fuels), Energia i Przemysl (Energy and Industry), Wies Jutra (Country of Tomorrow) monthly journals.
