Institute for Renewable Energy (EC BREC IEO) and The Polish Economic Chamber of Renewable Energy with Poznan International Fair are inviting to Second Solar Energy Industry Forum - a meeting addressed to prominent solar collector’s producers, distributors, sales representatives, installers and all interested in solar thermal energy sector. This year’s edition is a continuation of Solar Energy Industry Forum organized, for the first time in Katowice, on 13th of May 2008. 80 participants, including chairmen and managing directors of leading manufacturing companies and representatives of government and ecological funds took part in the event that year. First Forum was mainly dedicated to financial support from national and EU funds (among others from Operating Programmes like Innovative Economy or Infrastructure and Environment) for commencement and improvements in solar collector’s production and for solar thermal systems installations (in order to increase a share of RES in overall energy consumption). This time we will focus more on development and better organization of the Polish solar energy market, increase of cooperation and technology transfer. Examples of closer cooperation will be presented by invited guests from European Solar Thermal Technology Platform and European Solar Thermal Industry Federation. Moreover, beside Polish solar energy market, we will take a closer look at two, the biggest solar markets in Europe i.e. German and Austrian, paying especial attention to its organization and financial mechanisms. At the end of the Forum we plan panel discussion about possibilities of changes and improvements in financial support for Polish solar market and about the role of solar thermal energy in National Renewable Action Plan (RES targets by 2020).
